Massive Explosion at Sivakasi Factory

A major accident occurred in Sivakasi district of Tamil Nadu on Thursday evening after a powerful explosion at the Gurulakshmi firecracker manufacturing unit near Koppai Nayakkanpatti. According to preliminary reports from the police, at least two workers were seriously injured in the blast. Among them, a woman worker suffered nearly 90 percent burn injuries, raising concerns about her condition.

More than 20 workers were reportedly trapped in the flames following the explosion, triggering panic in the area. Upon receiving information, police and fire and rescue personnel rushed to the spot and launched intensive rescue operations. Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the exact cause of the explosion.
