Senior Maoist central committee member Pasunuri Narahari surrendered before Telangana Police along with his wife. Known by the alias Santosh, Narahari belongs to Somidi village in Kazipet of Hanamkonda district. His surrender after spending nearly 45 years in underground life has become a major topic of discussion.
Narahari played a key role in the technical wing of the Jharkhand East Regional Bureau and was considered an important Maoist leader. Officials believe the surrender reflects the impact of rehabilitation policies being implemented for Maoist cadres.
