A heartbreaking incident has come to light in Odisha. A man who attempted to withdraw Rs. 20,000 from his deceased sister’s bank account was reportedly told by bank officials that the account holder must be physically present. Despite repeatedly informing them of his sister’s death and producing her death certificate, officials allegedly failed to acknowledge the documents. This left the man deeply frustrated and distressed.
In a shocking attempt to prove his sister’s death, he reportedly took the extreme step of exhuming her remains and bringing the skeleton to the bank as evidence. The incident has sparked serious debate over systemic insensitivity, administrative negligence and the lack of humanity in dealing with citizens' grievances.
