Man Arrested for Stealing RTC Bus

A shocking incident took place in Jagitial district where an unidentified person stole an RTC bus parked at the Korutla bus stand. The TS08 Z0103 bus belonging to Korutla depot was parked at platform number 8 by driver Praveen, who moved away along with the conductor. Taking advantage of the situation, the accused entered the bus and drove it towards Nizamabad. RTC officials immediately alerted the police.

Police teams chased the stolen bus for nearly 18 kilometres and finally caught the accused. During the chase, the man rammed into three two-wheelers and a police vehicle at different locations, causing panic on the road. After police blocked the route near Gandi Hanuman on the national highway, the bus hit a tree and stopped. The accused attempted to escape but was caught by police and taken into custody for questioning.
