Major Reorganisation in Hyderabad City Police

The Telangana government has undertaken a major reorganisation of the Hyderabad City Police jurisdiction. The boundaries of zones, divisions and police stations have been revised, with changes made across 76 areas. Several police station limits have been shifted to other zones and divisions. Parts of the Market Police Station jurisdiction have been transferred to the Malkajgiri Commissionerate, while changes have also been made in the Maheshwaram, Shamshabad and Cyberabad areas. The RGIA Police Station has been renamed Shamshabad Police Station.

Changes have also been made to the jurisdictions of Rajendranagar, Abdullapurmet and Meerpet police stations. Police boundaries in Jubilee Hills, Banjara Hills and Sanathnagar have been redrawn. The Traffic Police zones and divisions, Women Safety Wing and Zonal Cyber Cell jurisdictions have also been reorganised. The government approved the restructuring through G.O.Ms.No.84.
