The BJP is reportedly considering major changes to its Parliamentary Board, with discussions underway over a possible revamp. Four chief ministers could be inducted into the key decision making body. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and West Bengal opposition leader Suvendu Adhikari are reportedly among those being considered.
From the southern region, BJP leader K. Laxman is likely to continue as a member of the Parliamentary Board, according to party sources. However, the final decision on the restructuring rests with the BJP leadership. If the changes are approved, the move could give greater national prominence to several influential leaders.
