Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra has appeared to take an indirect dig at BJP MP and actor Kangana Ranaut. Kangana recently visited her Mandi constituency in Himachal Pradesh and questioned officials over the progress of development works and utilisation of funds. Sharing a video of Kangana questioning officials, Moitra said she too would hold a meeting with officials next week to review development works and the utilisation of MPLADS funds in her Krishnanagar constituency.
Moitra tagged the Nadia district administration in a post on Monday, saying she would review the progress of projects including the Chapra bus stand and Pattabuka auditorium. In the video shared by her, Kangana expressed displeasure over pending development works and questioned officials about the utilisation of around ₹11 crore allocated to her constituency. Kangana reportedly sought immediate action on long-pending issues and asked officials to submit a report after completing the works. Moitra’s post has now triggered discussion about an indirect political exchange between the two MPs.
