Madras High Court Issues Notice to TVK Chief Vijay Over Asset Discrepancy Allegations

The Madras High Court has issued notices to Vijay, president of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), following a petition alleging discrepancies in his election affidavits.

The petition claims a ₹100 crore difference in declared assets across two affidavits—₹224 crore in the Tiruchirappalli East filing and ₹105 crore in the Perambur filing. The petitioner, V. Vignesh, has alleged irregularities and sought clarification. Notices have also been issued to the Election Commission and the Income Tax Department.
