Amid ongoing West Asia tensions, disruptions in global crude oil and gas supply chains continue to affect energy markets. Reports suggest that an LPG vessel bound for India has successfully crossed the Strait of Hormuz. The vessel, identified as MV Sunshine, is reportedly being assisted by the Indian Navy and other agencies to ensure its safe arrival. Authorities stated that around 15 LPG ships from the Persian Gulf have been safely escorted back to India amid the prevailing tensions. However, details regarding the cargo volume and exact arrival time in India remain unclear.
Meanwhile, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Kazem Gharibabadi stated that conditions in the Strait of Hormuz are expected to improve significantly once peace is restored. He criticized the United States for its lack of commitment to diplomacy, while asserting that Iran is not violating international laws. He further added that once stability returns, regional maritime security will be stronger than before.
