

A low-pressure system formed over northern Sri Lanka and the southwest Bay of Bengal is likely to intensify further within the next 48 hours, according to cyclone warning centre official Jagannath Kumar in Visakhapatnam. He stated that a cyclonic circulation extending up to 5.8 km above sea level is associated with the system, leading to wind speeds of 40–50 kmph across coastal districts.
Due to its impact, light to moderate rains accompanied by thunderstorms are expected on Tuesday in districts including Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Parvathipuram Manyam, Alluri Sitharama Raju, Polavaram, Eluru, Krishna, NTR, Guntur, Bapatla, Chittoor, and Tirupati. The Disaster Management Authority reported that in the past 24 hours, Paderu recorded 32.4 mm of rainfall.
