Low Pressure Over Bay

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has announced the formation of a low-pressure area over the northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining coastal regions of Odisha and West Bengal. According to the department, the system is likely to intensify over the next two to three days.

Under its influence, North Andhra districts are expected to receive heavy rainfall at isolated places over the next three days. Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning are also likely across other parts of Andhra Pradesh, prompting authorities to advise residents to remain alert and take necessary precautions.
