

A surface circulation has formed over the northwest Bay of Bengal adjoining north Odisha and West Bengal, the Meteorological Department said. Under its influence, a low-pressure area is likely to form over the northwest Bay of Bengal on Saturday. Weather experts have also indicated the possibility of another low-pressure system developing around September 3 or 4.
Meanwhile, several parts of Andhra Pradesh continued to experience intense heat on Thursday, with daytime temperatures rising 3 to 5 degrees Celsius above normal. Tirupati and Ongole recorded a maximum temperature of 38.2 degrees Celsius. Some places in the state also received rainfall. The Meteorological Department has forecast isolated showers in Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema during the next 24 hours.
