Lokesh Says Overcoming Weaknesses Is Key to Winning Elections

Amaravati: TDP National General Secretary and Minister Nara Lokesh said the party came to power because of the struggles and sacrifices of its workers. Speaking at the concluding session of the Leadership Conclave held at the TDP central office in Mangalagiri, he said leaders must identify and overcome their weaknesses to succeed in elections. Lokesh stressed that leaders are made, not born, and said the conclave was aimed at strengthening leadership, improving connections with workers and the public, and discussing ways to build the party. He added that such conclaves would be held every three months.

Lokesh urged leaders to take the three ‘Ps’ Party, Personal and Government seriously. He advised them to remain accessible to people and party workers, seek feedback and continuously improve themselves. Leaders should recognise hardworking workers, bring back those who have distanced themselves from the party and address even small issues in their constituencies, he said. He also asked leaders to regularly visit schools, hospitals and hostels, strengthen direct connections with the public and work towards continuity in government. Calling it the TDP 3.0 version, Lokesh said leaders should respect collective decisions, avoid ego and arrogance, follow simplicity and focus on public service.
