K. T. Rama Rao, Working President of BRS, has written a strongly worded letter to Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy demanding the immediate release of pending fee reimbursement dues. He alleged that nearly 1.4 million students are being affected due to the government’s delay and accused the administration of attempting to dismantle the fee reimbursement scheme through GO 7. KTR criticized the move, stating that it disproportionately impacts students from BC, SC, ST, and minority communities.
In his letter, KTR stated that over ₹10,000 crore in dues remain unpaid, severely affecting more than 2,500 educational institutions across the state. He accused the government of misleading stakeholders with promises such as one-time settlements and committee reviews, while failing to release funds for over 30 months. He warned that continued neglect could trigger widespread student protests and urged the government to withdraw the controversial order, clear dues immediately, and safeguard the future of economically weaker students.
