The BRS is preparing to launch a statewide campaign against the Congress government in Telangana. Alleging that the Congress government has failed to fulfil its promises and misled the people, BRS working president K. Taraka Rama Rao is set to release a chargesheet against the government at Telangana Bhavan on Wednesday morning. Along with the chargesheet, the party will question the implementation of 420 promises and six guarantees through a series of protests across the state until the 8th of this month.
The BRS plans to turn the campaign into a public movement beginning with the release of the chargesheet. Its action plan includes dharnas, farmers’ meetings, cooking protests, youth rallies, auto rallies and Prajavani petitions, with a different programme planned each day. Former ministers and senior state leaders have already held preparatory meetings and directed party workers on the planned programmes.
