BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao launched sharp criticism against a Union Minister over the ongoing POCSO case controversy. Referring to the “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” slogan, KTR said the situation had now reached a point where lookout notices were issued against the son of a Union Minister. He alleged that a fair investigation would not be possible unless the minister was removed from office.
KTR further claimed that the accused was allegedly hidden for several days after the case surfaced. He also accused the Chief Minister and the Union Minister of portraying the issue as a “honey trap” and misleading the media. The remarks have once again intensified political debate in the state.
