BRS working president and former minister KTR described former MLA Peddi Sudarshan Reddy as a leader who played a major role in carrying forward the Telangana movement in the erstwhile Warangal district. Speaking at a memorial meeting held in Narsampet, KTR said the respect Sudarshan Reddy earned among the people was reflected in the large number of people who attended his final journey.
KTR recalled that whenever the then TRS, now BRS, called for a programme during the Telangana movement, Sudarshan Reddy organised it on a large scale. He said the party made every possible effort to save his life but could not prevent his death. KTR remarked that a person’s legacy is determined not by how long they live but by how they live. He announced that the upcoming medical college in Narsampet would be named after Sudarshan Reddy and assured that the BRS would stand by and support his family.
