Open plots in Hyderabad’s Kukatpally Housing Board (KPHB) Colony once again attracted record prices. An open auction was conducted on Wednesday for 16 MIG plots in KPHB Phase 7, with the highest bid reaching Rs 2.70 lakh per square yard. Another plot was sold at Rs 2.36 lakh per square yard, while two other plots fetched Rs 2.06 lakh per square yard each. The minimum upset price for the plots was fixed at Rs 1.60 lakh per square yard.
A total of 19 bidders participated in the transparent auction, with the average price touching around Rs 1.79 lakh per square yard. According to Housing Board Vice-Chairman V.P. Gautam, the auction generated approximately Rs 47.14 crore in revenue for the Housing Board. The record prices reflect the strong demand for plots in KPHB, a well-developed locality with good infrastructure and no major land disputes, officials said.
