Konda Surekha Writes to PCC Disciplinary Committee

Telangana Minister Konda Surekha has written to PCC Disciplinary Committee chairman Mallu Ravi, seeking action against those allegedly making derogatory remarks against her and her family members. Surekha said she has already submitted her explanation to the notice issued by the committee, but several Congress leaders and public representatives have continued making public comments targeting her and her family. She urged the committee to identify the people allegedly operating behind the campaign and take strict disciplinary action against them.

Surekha also asked the committee to examine whether the public criticism against her, demands for action and comments on her political future were intended to influence the disciplinary proceedings. She said she respects party discipline but expressed concern over what she described as attacks against a senior BC woman leader. Surekha urged the party leadership to uphold its commitments to democratic values, social justice, women’s empowerment and the dignity of weaker sections, and take action against those violating the party’s disciplinary code.
