Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy has stated that the Centre has supplied more than the estimated requirement of fertilizers to Telangana and assured that farmers need not worry about urea availability. He said that for the 2025–26 Rabi season, Telangana’s estimated requirement was 10.40 lakh tonnes of urea, but the Centre supplied 12.01 lakh tonnes along with higher allocations of DAP and NPK fertilizers. He added that sufficient stocks are available across the country and the responsibility of proper distribution lies with the state government. He also mentioned that urea produced by RFCL Ramagundam is being supplied to farmers in the state.
In another statement, Kishan Reddy criticized Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi for his remarks on passports and citizenship, saying they were misleading the public. He said it was unfortunate that a law graduate like Owaisi misinterpreted basic legal principles. He clarified that a passport alone is not proof of citizenship and that citizenship is determined under the Constitution of India and the Citizenship Act, 1955.
