Around three lakh students’ parents in Andhra Pradesh are reportedly waiting for the second installment of financial assistance under the Thalliki Vandanam scheme. Eligible beneficiaries are expected to receive ₹13,000 per student in the second phase. The assistance is intended for students newly admitted to Class 1 and first-year Intermediate, as well as eligible students who could not receive the benefit in the first phase due to technical issues.
The first installment was credited on July 22 to 64.76 lakh students. Although the second installment was expected to be released on August 30, the payment was delayed. It is now reportedly likely to be credited in the first or second week of October. Beneficiaries are advised to verify the student’s and mother’s Aadhaar details, e-KYC, bank account, IFSC code, Aadhaar-bank linking and school or college details to avoid payment-related issues.
