Key Twist in Justice Case...Four Week Deadline Set

The Delhi High Court has issued contempt notices to Aam Aadmi Party leaders Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, and Sanjay Singh in connection with alleged remarks against Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma. A bench comprising Justices Navin Chawla and Ravinder Dudeja directed the leaders to file their responses within four weeks and adjourned the matter to August 4.

The case pertains to alleged social media defamation targeting Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma, who is hearing the Delhi liquor policy case. It is alleged that edited old videos were circulated to misrepresent her as biased. Following the controversy, Justice Sharma initiated contempt proceedings suo motu and later recused herself from the case.
