Key Move by Telangana Government on El Nino

The Telangana government has taken a key decision to address the potential impact of El Nino by constituting a state-level expert committee. Senior leader G. Chinna Reddy has been appointed as the chairman of the committee, while the Director of the Agriculture Department will serve as the convenor.

The committee will assess the possible effects of El Nino across the state and evaluate risks related to rainfall and agriculture. It will also recommend effective drought mitigation measures to minimize the impact on farmers and ensure preparedness for adverse climatic conditions.
