The Delhi High Court is scheduled to hear the liquor policy case today, drawing significant attention in political and legal circles. The case will be heard by the bench of Justice Swarna Kanta Sharma. Earlier, the Rouse Avenue Court had dismissed the charges against all accused, including Arvind Kejriwal and BRS leader Kavitha, which was later challenged by the Central Bureau of Investigation in the Delhi High Court.
Notices have been issued to all respondents, including Kejriwal and Kavitha, asking them to appear for the hearing today through their legal representatives. Meanwhile, Arvind Kejriwal had requested that the case be shifted from Justice Swarna Kanta Sharma’s bench, but the Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court rejected the request. Following this development, Kejriwal has approached the Supreme Court seeking a change of bench.
