Key Details Emerge in Ayodhya Donation Case

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) chargesheet in the alleged theft of donations at the Ayodhya Ram Temple has revealed that 105 instances of cash being removed from the counting area were captured on CCTV cameras. The nearly 70,000 page chargesheet was filed against eight accused, with investigators concluding that the alleged diversion of donations took place during the cash-counting process rather than during their transfer to banks.

The SIT recovered ₹79.85 lakh in cash from the accused, while gold, silver and other valuables were also seized during the investigation. The chargesheet reportedly includes CCTV footage, messages, financial records and other evidence related to the case. The court has directed that copies of the chargesheet and relevant documents be provided to the accused, who are scheduled to appear before the court on October 7.
