Amid allegations of misuse of donations, steps are being taken to strengthen administrative and financial operations at the Ayodhya Ram Temple. The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has announced plans to appoint its first Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and released a notification inviting applications. The deadline for submission is set for the 18th of this month. The CEO will be appointed on a three-year contract, with a possibility of extension based on performance. Candidates must hold at least a bachelor’s degree, be aged between 50 and 70, and possess a minimum of 20 years of experience in managing large government organizations, departments, or companies, along with expertise in administration, finance, human resources, public relations, IT, security, and legal affairs. Preference will be given to Hindu candidates devoted to Lord Rama, especially those from the Vaishnav tradition.
In a related development, the Supreme Court has directed the Special Investigation Team (SIT) appointed by the Uttar Pradesh government to submit a progress report on the investigation into alleged donation theft at the temple. Notices have been issued to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust in response to petitions seeking a probe into the matter. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta informed the court that the SIT will present its findings in a sealed cover, highlighting the seriousness of the ongoing investigation.
