Former Vijayawada MP Kesineni Nani has addressed an open letter to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, alleging that a call money mafia has resurfaced in the Vijayawada Parliamentary constituency. In his letter, Nani claimed that Vijayawada MP Kesineni Chinni and his close associate Mulpuri Kishore were involved in harassing a woman entrepreneur even after she had allegedly repaid a loan of ₹5 crore along with interest, amounting to nearly ₹21 crore. He further alleged attempts to illegally seize her 11-acre property using forged documents.
Nani also claimed that despite an FIR being registered over an alleged attack on the victim's residence, the accused had not been acted against. He urged the state government to invoke the Preventive Detention (PD) Act against Mulpuri Kishore, provide round-the-clock police protection to the victim and her family, and take stringent action to curb the alleged mafia activities. The allegations mentioned in the letter have not yet been officially verified, and no response from the accused or the government was available at the time of writing.
