Kedarnath is witnessing an unprecedented rush of devotees, with temples remaining open for darshan continuously for 22 hours for the first time. Around 30,000 pilgrims are arriving daily, resulting in waiting times of nearly 11 hours for darshan. The heavy influx has led to severe crowd pressure at the shrine.
Due to the surge in devotees, registration systems have been temporarily halted, and long traffic jams stretching for several kilometres have been reported on the routes leading to Kedarnath. Authorities are working to manage the situation and ensure smooth movement of pilgrims amid the increasing footfall.
