Kavitha Demands Reforms After NEET Row

Telangana Jagruthi chief Kalvakuntla Kavitha reacted to the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the NEET paper leak issue. She said the resignation came following the students' protests but added that it alone was not enough to resolve the crisis. According to her, the move was only a damage control exercise and not a permanent solution.

Kavitha called for comprehensive reforms to prevent future paper leaks. She demanded statutory autonomy for the NTA on the lines of the UPSC, stricter laws against examination leaks, ₹1 crore compensation for the families of students who allegedly died by suicide following the NEET paper leak issue, and action against those responsible for the police action on protesting students. She said only systemic reforms would ensure justice for students.
