The Karimnagar–Warangal Greenfield NH-563 is set to enter the trial-run phase, bringing relief to commuters travelling between the two cities. The new highway is expected to reduce the distance from around 72 km to 68 km, with the journey by car potentially taking less than an hour, depending on traffic and road conditions.
As part of the safety and surveillance system, two solar-powered CCTV cameras are planned for every kilometre. The highway will be monitored in real time around the clock from the Kothagattu Toll Plaza. Following the trial run, toll collection from vehicles is scheduled to begin at the Kothagattu Toll Plaza from October 1. The project is expected to improve connectivity and make travel between Karimnagar and Warangal faster and more convenient.
