Telangana Rakshana Sena Chief Kalvakuntla Kavitha has expressed solidarity with the 'Gig Workers Breakdown' protest, voicing concern over the earnings of app-based drivers and delivery partners. She alleged that aggregators such as Uber, Ola and Rapido are not providing fair remuneration to auto, car and bike drivers despite their long working hours. Kavitha said many workers struggle to earn a sustainable income even after working throughout the day.
She also criticised food delivery platforms including Swiggy and Zomato, alleging that delivery partners are facing financial hardship due to inadequate payouts. Kavitha urged the Telangana government to intervene by holding discussions with the companies and ensuring fair compensation for gig workers. She affirmed that Telangana Rakshana Sena would continue to support gig workers in their fight for better wages and working conditions.
