The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra has been suspended after flash floods affected several areas along the Nepal-Tibet route. The sudden flooding has reportedly damaged or blocked road connections leading towards Mansarovar, making travel difficult and prompting authorities to temporarily stop the pilgrimage.
The yatra scheduled to begin via Nepal from August 27 has been halted, with officials announcing that the route could remain closed for around a month due to the flood situation. Nepal-Tibet border authorities have advised tourists and pilgrims to return to their hometowns until travel conditions improve. Further decisions regarding the resumption of the yatra are expected to depend on the restoration of road connectivity and the overall situation in the region.
