K-Pop Star Lee Know, Sadhguru Step Up to Help Nepal Flood Victims

Several individuals and organisations are coming forward to support Nepal as the Himalayan nation grapples with the devastating impact of floods. K-pop star Lee Know, a member of the popular South Korean group Stray Kids, has donated 100 million South Korean won, equivalent to around ₹69 lakh, towards relief and recovery efforts. The contribution has been made through World Vision and will be used to assist people affected by the floods. Expressing solidarity with Nepal, Lee Know said he wanted to do his part during the difficult period and hoped the people of the country would recover from the disaster as soon as possible.

Lee Know has been associated with World Vision since 2014 and has supported initiatives focused on the welfare of children around the world. He also made a 100 million won contribution in 2024 to support countries facing food insecurity and has made significant donations for people suffering from serious illnesses. Meanwhile, Indian spiritual leader and Isha Foundation founder Jaggi Vasudev has also extended support to Nepal’s flood victims. He announced that he would contribute ₹1 crore to the Nepal Prime Minister’s Relief Fund. The development comes after 77 Isha Foundation pilgrims were reportedly missing in the floods. The contributions from Lee Know and Jaggi Vasudev are being seen as gestures of solidarity at a time when Nepal is dealing with the humanitarian consequences of severe flooding.
