Justice Mallikarjuna Rao Takes Oath as AP Lokayukta

Justice Tallapragada Mallikarjuna Rao, a former judge of the Andhra Pradesh High Court, was sworn in as the new Lokayukta of Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday. Governor S. Abdul Nazeer administered the oath at a ceremony held at Lok Bhavan in Vijayawada in the presence of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. The Lokayukta Registrar read out the appointment warrant issued by the Governor before the oath taking ceremony.

Following the ceremony, Governor Abdul Nazeer and Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu congratulated Justice Mallikarjuna Rao and presented him with bouquets. Labour Minister Vasamsetti Subhash, High Court judges, DGP Harish Kumar Gupta, the Governor’s Special Chief Secretary G. Anantha Ramu, Advocate General Dammalapati Srinivas, AP Legislative Assembly Secretary General Prasanna Kumar Suryadevara, senior government officials and others attended the event.
