Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) has begun restoring its JBM electric bus fleet in phases after completing technical inspections. Following a comprehensive review by the Command Control Centre team at Hyderabad Bus Bhavan, JBM engineers, and battery experts from China, 118 additional buses were certified as 100% fit for operation and have been cleared for passenger service.
Out of the total fleet of 500 JBM electric buses, 150 had already resumed operations earlier, and with the latest clearance, another 118 buses are now available for commuters. Officials expect the remaining buses to return to service within the next two to three days. The TGSRTC Managing Director has instructed all Regional Managers to operate additional bus services in areas where JBM buses are not yet available, ensuring uninterrupted passenger transport.
