Jana Sena Party has urged the Telangana Government to clear the doubts surrounding the GHMC Core Urban Region Integrated Governance Bill (CURE Bill). The party stated that the government must explain how the proposed legislation will impact the powers of local bodies, the responsibilities of elected representatives, taxation, and civic services. It emphasized that releasing complete information about the bill is the government's responsibility and is essential to uphold democratic values.
Jana Sena reiterated that the all round development of Hyderabad remains one of its key priorities and that it would positively consider reforms aimed at improving urban governance. However, the party stressed that new laws alone cannot transform Hyderabad into a world class city. It demanded that every provision of the CURE Bill be discussed transparently with the public, adding that genuine development depends on public consultation, efficient civic services, transparency, accountability, and a corruption free administration.
