The Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Devasthanam on Indrakeeladri in Vijayawada has introduced a special facility called ‘Jaganmatha Divya Darshan’ for devotees during the Dasara Sharannavaratri celebrations, scheduled from October 11 to 20. Temple Executive Officer V.K. Sheena Naik said the initiative aims to help ordinary devotees have a convenient darshan of Goddess Durga without recommendations or protocol-based requests. Only 1,000 special darshan tickets will be available per day, priced at ₹1,000 each.
The tickets will be released in phases through the Andhra Pradesh government’s ‘Mana Mitra’ WhatsApp service at 9552300009. The first quota will be released tomorrow at 2 p.m. Ticket holders will receive free bus transportation from the TTD site near Kummaripalem Centre to the hilltop. A dedicated queue near Om Turning will facilitate darshan from the Bangaru Vakili (Mukha Mandapam), close to the sanctum. The special darshan will be available daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding the periods reserved for offerings and rituals, the EO said.
