ISRO Ready for GSLV-F17 Launch

ISRO Chairman Narayanan offered prayers to Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala. During the VIP break, he participated in the Srivari Seva and performed special prayers for a model rocket. Meanwhile, ISRO has completed preparations for another prestigious space mission. The agency is set to launch a 2,367-kg Earth observation satellite using the GSLV-F17 rocket, developed with fully indigenous technology.

The GSLV-F17 is scheduled to lift off from the second launch pad at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota at 2:55 am on the 4th of this month. The 50.9-metre-long rocket, weighing around 420.7 tonnes, will be launched in three stages. A successful mission would mark another significant milestone for India’s space research programme and further highlight the country’s growing capabilities in space technology.
