Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla, along with his wife Janaki Shukla, attended the golden jubilee celebrations of Sri Sri Radha Madanmohan Mandir at Abids, Hyderabad, on Tuesday. The temple, established in 1976, has completed 50 years as a centre of devotion, spirituality and service. The Governor and his wife offered prayers at the temple and were warmly welcomed by ISKCON organisers and devotees.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor Shukla said ISKCON Abids’ five-decade journey represents a spiritual commitment to devotion, service, compassion and human welfare. He praised the organisation for spreading Krishna consciousness through Harinam Sankirtan, Bhagavad Gita teachings, prasadam distribution, cultural programmes and social service activities. He urged the youth to read the Bhagavad Gita and follow its values in their daily lives, while promoting the spirit of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’.
