In Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district, allegations of irregularities have emerged in women’s self-help group loan systems in the Sansthan Narayanapuram mandal. Outstanding loans under the Streenidhi scheme have reportedly reached around ₹2 crore. Women members allege that some Village Organization Assistants (VOAs) have taken loans in their names without consent and diverted the funds for personal use.
Due to these pending dues, new loans are not being sanctioned to eligible women, affecting their livelihood activities. Reports also suggest that commissions ranging from ₹3,000 to ₹5,000 are being collected for loan approvals. Victims are demanding a thorough investigation and audit by higher authorities.
Further complaints indicate that VOAs are misusing signed documents from meetings and manipulating resolutions without members’ knowledge. Despite complaints being raised to officials, no strict action has been taken so far, according to the affected women.
