

Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) Chairman and Managing Director Sanjay Kumar Jain has resigned from his position. The Ministry of Railways has accepted his resignation, which will come into effect from July 20. According to the regulatory filing submitted by IRCTC, Sanjay Kumar Jain cited personal reasons for stepping down from the top post.
In his resignation letter, Jain stated that IRCTC achieved significant milestones during his tenure, including its elevation from Miniratna to Navratna status and its transition from Schedule-B to Schedule-A classification. He expressed gratitude to officials and colleagues for their support and confidence, adding that IRCTC would continue to achieve greater growth in the future. Jain assumed charge as CMD of IRCTC on February 14, 2024, and will relinquish responsibilities after completing the notice period.
