Iranian President’s Sensational Remarks on the US Deal!

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has defended the memorandum of understanding previously reached with the United States, saying that it contains no provision amounting to Iran’s surrender. He said the Supreme Leader sets the country’s policies and that the government would follow that path. The memorandum signed in June provided a 60-day framework for ending hostilities and negotiating an agreement on Iran’s nuclear programme. However, the deadline has passed without a breakthrough on key issues. Pezeshkian also highlighted the economic pressure facing Iran and the need to reduce uncertainty to attract investment.

Meanwhile, Iran’s judiciary-affiliated Mizan news agency reported that Majid Adineh, who was arrested in connection with January’s protests, had been executed after receiving a death sentence. Separately, retired Indian Army Lieutenant General KJS Dhillon said Iran had spent four decades preparing for a potential war with the United States. He said Iran had maintained its ability to withstand prolonged conflict despite suffering heavy losses in US and Israeli strikes and had also prepared for scenarios involving the loss of its top leadership.
