Amid reports that US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu are holding secret discussions about launching fresh military strikes against Iran, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has issued a strong warning. He said Iran had effectively resisted previous attacks by the United States and Israel and was prepared to respond even more forcefully if another military confrontation arose. Araghchi challenged Washington and Tel Aviv to test their luck again, warning that Iran was prepared for further escalation. He also cautioned that any renewed military action against Tehran could have serious consequences for both countries.
Araghchi further accused Netanyahu of attempting to drag the United States into another military conflict to avoid legal troubles at home. He alleged that the Israeli prime minister was using Trump to evade the possibility of imprisonment and warned that both Israel and the United States would face the consequences of such actions. Meanwhile, ahead of Israel’s parliamentary elections scheduled for October 27, Trump publicly backed Netanyahu, praising his handling of the confrontation with Iran and his efforts to maintain peace in Israel. Trump warned Israeli voters against choosing another leader, suggesting that Washington might have to intervene if they made the wrong choice. He also accused Iran of posing a longstanding threat to both Israel and the United States and warned of further action if Tehran failed to change its course.
