Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei issued a strong warning to the United States, stating that continued military attacks would invite an unforgettable response. He dismissed the peace agreement signed by US President Donald Trump as meaningless and announced that Iran was suspending its commitments under the agreement. His message was broadcast on Iranian state television after Tehran formally declared the suspension. Khamenei said the US had once again demonstrated betrayal and warned that Iran possessed the capability to deliver a decisive response if the attacks continued.
Meanwhile, the conflict intensified across the Middle East, with both nations targeting key strategic infrastructure. The United States reportedly struck Iranian intelligence centres, military logistics facilities, underground weapons depots and maritime assets, damaging tunnels and transport links near Bandar Abbas. In retaliation, Iran launched attacks on desalination facilities and oil infrastructure in Kuwait, causing injuries and disruptions to power generation. Iraq said it intercepted drones targeting Erbil, while Jordan reported shooting down Iranian missiles. Rising attacks on water infrastructure and desalination plants have raised fears of a humanitarian crisis, as political tensions and domestic criticism continue to grow within Iran.
