Tensions in the Middle East escalated further as Iran reportedly launched drone attacks targeting locations linked to the United States in Gulf nations. According to Kuwaiti authorities, a drone strike targeted Kuwait International Airport, causing damage to airport infrastructure and injuring several people. Following the incident, authorities declared an emergency at the airport and temporarily suspended flight operations, diverting several incoming flights to alternative destinations.
Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated that the attacks were carried out in retaliation for recent US airstrikes on Iranian targets. The group claimed to have targeted multiple locations, including military facilities in Kuwait and Bahrain, and warned that further operations could follow. Meanwhile, Kuwait and Bahrain advised residents to remain indoors and follow safety instructions as regional tensions continue to rise.
