Indians have been found to be the largest group among foreigners leaving the United Kingdom, according to the latest data released by the UK’s Office for National Statistics. The report shows that around 51,000 Indians who went for studies, 21,000 who went for employment, and 3,000 who migrated for other reasons left the UK last year.
China follows with around 46,000 departures, while citizens from Ukraine, Pakistan, and Nigeria also left the country in significant numbers. Net migration, which refers to the difference between people entering and leaving a country permanently, has dropped significantly. It stood at 944,000 during the Conservative government period and has now fallen to 171,000 under the current Labour government.
