India has expressed serious concern over the attack on a vessel in the Strait of Hormuz, in which an Indian sailor lost his life and six other Indian nationals were injured. The incident reportedly left a total of eight people injured. Seeking clarification over the attack, the Ministry of External Affairs summoned an Iranian diplomatic representative.
The government also conveyed its concern over the deteriorating security situation in the Strait of Hormuz, a vital global shipping route. India emphasized that the safety and security of its citizens remain a top priority and said it is closely monitoring the developments. Authorities are assessing the incident and will decide on further diplomatic steps based on the outcome of the inquiry.
