India delivered a strong message against Pakistan at the United Nations, accusing its neighbour of having supported and encouraged terrorist groups to create instability and destruction beyond its borders. India said Pakistan had allegedly used such groups as instruments against neighbouring countries, but the consequences of those policies are now being felt within Pakistan itself.
India described the situation as a case of forces created and encouraged by Pakistan eventually turning into a threat to the country itself. The remarks came amid continued international discussions over terrorism, regional security and instability in South Asia. India has consistently maintained that terrorism should not be used as a tool of state policy and has called for stronger action against those supporting terror networks.
