Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the United Arab Emirates during his international tour and received a rare honour as his aircraft entered UAE airspace. An F-16 Block 60 “Desert Falcon” fighter jet of the UAE Air Force escorted his plane until it landed in Abu Dhabi, marking a special gesture of welcome. The visit is part of a short stopover amid his broader European tour.
During the visit, PM Modi condemned the Iranian attack and highlighted the global impact of the West Asia conflict, calling for adherence to international law, especially regarding the Strait of Hormuz. Several key agreements were signed between India and the UAE, including MoUs on LPG supply, petroleum storage, strategic defence partnership, and setting up a ship repair facility, strengthening bilateral energy and defence cooperation.
