Israeli defence major Rafael Advanced Defense Systems is reportedly in discussions with Indian defence companies to establish a production line for Iron Dome interceptor missiles in India. According to recent reports, the proposed facility is intended to support export demand while also strengthening Israel's supply of interceptor missiles amid rising global demand. The move, if finalized, would mark a significant expansion of defence cooperation between India and Israel.
Rafael currently manufactures Iron Dome interceptors at its facility in Israel, while a separate production line began operations in the United States last year through a partnership with Raytheon. Setting up a similar manufacturing line in India would represent another major milestone in the global expansion of the Iron Dome program. However, neither Rafael nor the Indian companies involved have officially confirmed the proposed production facility.
